Start with the source video
The available download choices depend on the video’s source streams. Review the title, duration, and listed formats before choosing. A resolution setting can limit the maximum output size, but it cannot add detail that was not in the original.
Choose video or audio
Choose MP4 when you need a video file and MP3 when you only need audio. Higher bitrate settings do not improve audio that was published at a lower quality, so use the source and your listening needs as a guide.
Check the link and your permissions
Use a supported YouTube video, Shorts, or playlist link. Private, restricted, or unavailable videos may not be accessible. Before saving anything, make sure you own the content or have permission to download it, and follow applicable law and YouTube’s Terms of Service.
